FAQ

Clear answers for independent restaurants.

Is Plateria a marketplace?

No. Plateria is a connected ordering and operations system with an optional community discovery layer. Direct restaurant sessions stay focused on the restaurant the customer chose.

Will customers see competitors while ordering from me?

No. When a customer enters through your direct QR code or link, competitor promotions do not interrupt menu browsing, item selection, cart, checkout, payment, or order confirmation.

Does a customer need to install Plateria before ordering?

No. The restaurant’s mobile ordering website remains available. When supported and already installed, the Plateria app can open directly to that restaurant’s personalized experience.

Can I keep DoorDash, Uber Eats, or my current POS?

During the pilot, Plateria may work alongside existing services. It is not positioned as a complete POS, payroll, inventory, or marketplace replacement.

Does Plateria take a percentage of sales?

Plateria does not take a percentage or per-order platform fee from the restaurant’s food sales. Standard payment-processing fees and separately agreed third-party costs still apply.

What payment fees remain?

Standard payment-processing fees remain separate. Domain costs, developer-account fees, taxes, and separately approved third-party costs may also remain separate.

What does onboarding include?

Onboarding includes readiness review, brand and menu collection, configuration for the website, Community App experience, Owner Dashboard and Kitchen Display, staff access, testing, training, launch readiness, digital launch materials, and one structured design revision round.

When does the free month begin?

For eligible new restaurants, the first live service month is free and begins only when the restaurant publicly launches and real customers can order — onboarding and private testing time do not count. After that free month, normal billing begins on either monthly or annual membership. Annual membership is $1,649.99 paid upfront — about $149.89 less than paying monthly for a year. Choosing monthly or annual billing after that first free month does not add a second free month.

Can every restaurant join?

No. Applications are reviewed based on readiness, fit, location, operational complexity, and current onboarding capacity.

Do I receive my own app?

The launch product includes a personalized restaurant experience inside the Plateria Community App, not a dedicated App Store or Google Play app.

What is Plateria Signature?

Plateria Signature is a possible future dedicated-app option for qualifying community members. It is coming later, subject to technical review and Apple and Google approval, and has no guaranteed release date.

Can my app and website look different from another restaurant’s?

Yes, within Plateria’s flexible design system. Standard onboarding includes curated personalization and one structured revision round. Completely original layouts, custom features, and extensive redesigns may require a separate quote.

What happens if app-store review takes longer?

No app-store approval timing is guaranteed. The restaurant’s mobile ordering website remains available so customers can order without installing Plateria.

How do clients contact support?

Active Plateria clients receive priority support through the authenticated Owner Dashboard. Public inquiries are handled separately.

How can restaurants suggest improvements?

Restaurants can privately report issues or share ideas. Plateria may recognize meaningful contributions with permission, without public rankings or popularity contests.

How does the Community Reliability Credit work?

Active Plateria restaurants that responsibly report a previously unknown, reproducible, and significant platform defect may qualify for account credit, a partial monthly discount, or up to one free month after Plateria verifies the issue.

Are future features guaranteed?

No. Future features may change based on pilot feedback, reliability, security, demand, cost, technical feasibility, and alignment with Plateria’s mission.
